From Maine to Mainstream: Working Remotely for Hollywood

On Wednesday, October 22nd GPL will host three professionals in the entertainment world who work remotely right from Gray and New Gloucester. Explore their journeys and learn about the challenges of working remotely from Maine. Audience questions encouraged!

The panel includes:
Mat Rotman, whose award-winning VFX work includes several Marvel films and The Wizard of Oz currently playing in Las Vegas
William Welte, a former animation assistant for Family Guy
Caroline Kopesky, whose recent motion graphic work includes Twisters and Joker

Author Talk: Katherine Silva

​On Saturday, October 25th Katherine Silva will be at the Gray Public Library to discuss her newest book, Where the Soul Goes. Inspired by Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations and Simon Stalenhag's dystopian tales, Where the Soul Goes explores the abyss of human connection through the culinary arts amidst an alternate 80's backdrop. The perfect author event to celebrate spooky season!
