Dr. Chuck Radis

Thursday, August 26th at 6:30 pm

Fresh out of training in the 1980s, Dr. Chuck Radis moved with his wife and daughter to Peaks Island, Maine (at the time, an incredibly poor community full of “interesting” characters), to fulfill a Public Health scholarship obligation. Initially oblivious to island mores, Dr. Radis slowly adapts to a medical practice where x-rays and advanced laboratory testing are available only on the mainland, and the patients have their own definition of “health” and “well-being”. With stories ranging from hilarious to heart breaking, “Go by Boat” tells the tales from a well-known place, taking place in a long forgotten time.

Free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
