Make Your Own Mystery!

Join us for an incredibly unique event where, rather than hearing what others have written, you get to tell the story! Maine authors Richard Cass, Barbara Ross and Julia Spencer-Fleming will use  suggestions from the audience to build a mystery novel on the fly, demonstrating some of the ideas and techniques that go into plotting and creating the stories.  Audience members suggest character names, weapons, motives, geographic locations, and other pertinent information for the writers to build on. The three mystery writers (who write very different types of books) will guide the process.  It’s an interactive event and generally results in hilarity, while at the same giving readers a view into how writers work.

Free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase & signing. Sponsored by the GPLA &  Pat Barter Speaker Series.
